We’ve been slinging vintage on and offline for over 20 years, but we also spent several years in the fine fragrance industry.

We were grossed out by all the cloying, fake-smelling designer perfumes on the market, not to mention the insane price points and wasteful, toxic formulations.

Our fragrance line is a protest against the modern perfume industry. We reject price-gouging trends (even among alternative indie perfumers), who often put more effort into their packaging and marketing than their perfumery itself.

We believe luxury fragrance should be:

+ A personal essence, not based on hype

Our fragrance blends are inspired by haunting local lore, religious and occult ritual, beloved memories, familiar moments, and the dark side of natural world.
We reference our favorite ghost stories, North American history, personal travels, music, literature, film, and pop culture when creating new fragrances.

Each scent is designed to transport you to a certain place, time or mood, with a dash of whimsical humor.

Solid perfumes are much more concentrated than alcohol-based liquid sprays, while still being skin-safe.
On the skin, the fragrance lasts about 6-8 hours depending on your body chemistry, and can be reapplied as needed.

Our perfumes come in XL 2 oz. tins - they are 4x larger than any other solid perfume on the market!
Our tins give you over a year’s supply in one package if you’re wearing it every day.
Our perfumes do not expire, but they may dry out around the 2-year mark - usually well before you run out!
The amount in our tins is roughly the equivalent of a 100ml bottle of spray-on perfume, but at 1/4 of the price of most luxury fragrances.

All our perfumes are handmade in -house, in small batches with ritual precision.

Each of our scents, their backstories and notes are conceptualized and formulated by Miranda, using olfactory chemistry combined with holistic aromatherapy techniques.

We are a two-person production team and pour each of our bottles and tins with love. All Last Rites fragrances are handcrafted by Miranda and Jason in our Massachusetts studio. We do not outsource any production and we do not have any off-site labs or factories.

We keep our offerings extremely small batch, so we can maintain a zero-waste production model once scents are tested and finalized.

We also design and print all our labels in house!

We use organic candelilla wax (our special vegan alternative to beeswax), plus moisturizing sweet almond oil as a carrier in both our balms and roll-on oils. The scent itself comes from our exclusive, handcrafted blends of essential oils and fragrance that create an intimate, magical scent experience.

Our carrier oil, wax, and all scent components are sourced ethically and locally from other small businesses and from small family owned farms in Quebec, Alberta, Ontario, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Washington state.

Basically, you just dab it anywhere you would spray a liquid perfume.

Swirl with your finger to melt, and apply to pressure points (such as wrists, inner elbows, neck, decolletage and behind the ears) for a spellbinding personal scent.

You can also use them as beard balm - our bearded customers love them for facial grooming with our subtle, intoxicating scents. The combo of wax and sweet almond oil helps to keep your skin happy, and your beard in place and looking sharp!
